Several years ago Michael Knighton was approached by the well-known international artist, Professor David Mach RA - the Professor of Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Arts, London - to investigate the possibility of creating collaborative works together with Michael. David Mach had been impressed by Michael's general artwork, espicially the metaphors behind the narrative of Knighton's Gilded Boy series.
